   Biography:
   Dr. Katherine Sprott has more than twenty years of educational experience in public schools. She served    as a teacher, principal and professional development coordinator in K-12 school settings in Texas and    Kansas. As a Professional Developer for the Wichita Public Schools, Dr. Sprott became very active with    No Child Left Behind policies addressing teacher quality, professional development and continuous school    improvement. She focuses on advancing teacher knowledge and skills that support increased student    achievement in core content areas, assessment and use of data. Dr. Sprott emphasizes achieving excellence    through high standards and accountability and works to accomplish long-term impact through strategic    collaboration. Her areas of concentration include: working with students, parents, teachers, administrators    and community organizations to improve and ensure educational opportunities for all regardless of race,    economic status, national origin and gender.

   Most recently, Dr. Sprott have begun work on bullying prevention. As an Olweus Bullying Prevention    trainer, she can provide guidance for schools, and school districts in the implementation process of the    program. The Olweus [pronounced Ol-VEY-us] Bullying Prevention Program is a comprehensive, school-   wide program devised for elementary, middle, or junior high school students. The objective of the program   is to reduce and prevent bullying problems among school-aged students and improve peer relations at    school.
