From Missouri: The Minority Achievement Committee Scholars Program (called MAC Scholars) is one of Columbia Public Schools products of an ongoing effort to eliminate race and ethnicity as a predictor of achievement. The primary purpose is to increase the number of historically under-represented minority students in the districts honors and advanced placement classes.
