At the request of schools, school districts, and state departments, center staff provide a variety of free services including professional development workshops, seminars, conferences, inservice training, technical assistance, and information dissemination.

The Midwest Equity Assistance Center service region (Region VII) consists of four states, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. Any school public school, school district, including charter and magnet school in this region can become a client district and request MEAC services. Other states and territories of the U.S. are served by different equity centers.
